Apple is fighting a losing fight, and in my opinion, the wrong fight
because they are putting the larger battle at risk. As long as
manufacturers like Apple insist on controlling the keys to the phone, they
will be required open it when subject to a warrant. The only fight left
then will be to prevent every phone from being backdoor'ed so a warrant is
not needed, and then to ensure warrants are monitored and properly issued.
