Hi Viktor,

Thanks for taking the time to read through DSM and for the thoughtful note.

One important correction on framing: DSM does not use an external anchor. It is not anchored to Bitcoin, and it would not be anchored to Quillon or any other chain.

Bitcoin is the one external asset path we are currently shipping around, and even there, Bitcoin is not providing finality to DSM. Bitcoin is used at the asset boundary. BTC can be brought into a DSM policy for instant local transfer, then later redeemed back through the Bitcoin side. The DSM transfer itself is finalized by the bilateral DSM receipt and local state progression, not by Bitcoin.

Outside of Bitcoin, my focus is not on integrating with other blockchains or building more bridge paths. DSM is mainly built so tokens and applications can be created directly on top of DSM.

So if Quillon wanted to port QUG over and build on DSM instead of another chain environment, that is the cleaner direction. But building a Quillon bridge or adapting DSM around Quillon is not currently in my plans.

For that reason, I do not think the collaboration model you outlined is the right fit for DSM core development.

Best,
Brandon
