As a general rule, I think for myself and I don't like being told what I
should think in this way. No specifics, no examples, just a vague allusion
to a collection of meaningless conspiracy theories. Besides which the
argument is formally ad-hominem, 'Hitler was a vegetarian, therefore
vegetarianism is evil'.

Attesting to the authenticity of passports / eliminating passports
altogether is one of the few areas where structured cryptography is being
appropriately proposed as a solution. Though there is absolutely no call to
introduce 'Blockchain'.

I for one would rather like a system that allows me to use my phone or a
self printed pass to pass through international borders. The obstacles to
achieving such an outcome are not technical, they are political and
organizational. WEF is one of the few organizations with the reach to be
able to start to make such a scheme happen.
