Good grief, is it that long ago?

Now I'm seeing fights where one side is saying things like "recovery 
friendly!!1!" and the other side saying things like "malleable 
encryption!!1!", and while PGP certainly deserves a lot of ridicule, it 
seems that whenever its name is mentioned, rational debate is no longer 
possible.
