​Agree that LEB deals, Digital Ocean Droplets, WootHosting or AWS can
provide super cheap options to host a site.

Additional points of consideration:
 * self-hosting from your household Internet connection is a TOS violation
for some ISPs
 * running a HTTP server at home increases the attack surface for your
local systems

I've also solved this problem using free shell accounts (e.g., SDF,
Insomnia247, Blinkenshell).  Haven't personally attempted setting up
LetsEncrypt certs with any of these free shell services but if that
solution is of interest this site has a list:
