Cryptos might eat half of gold as storage alone, and
then go multiples based on other uses and phenomenon
like currency float.

Gold is a store, insulation against fiat, not a practical currency, relatively
flat, creation limitations unknown. Cryptos (ie "Bitcoin") is a store,
insulation,
viable currency, has been experiencing multiple returns, creation fixed.
So there are at least a few significant differences.
