[Cryptography] Do you think RC4 will become insecure for 2^16 encryptions of the same plaintext or less?

Attacks do have catastrophic breakthroughs.
Both on the implementation side as well as the raw mathematics
and analysis.

It is simplistic to think that attacks behave in a linear or log....  way.
Some are analysis by humans, some automated analysis comes to play
but insight comes in a flash and can change the rules abruptly.

The growth and size of the internet combined with the politics and finances
of illegal hacking
do imply a model.    Such models make sense for some budgets but not for
those with
confidential data where the value of the data and penalties dominate the
analysis.
