Constant emission of money is correct for a cryptocurrency. With metal
currency, the supply of metal in the earth is fixed (barring nuclear reactions
and asteroid mining), and a lost coin can be found with a metal detector. With
cryptocurrency, a lost coin cannot be found, so with constant emission of
money, the amount of money in circulation will tend to a limit where the
emission of money is equal to the loss of coins. With a supply cap, the amount
of money in circulation will tend to zero.
