In the case of age restrictions on social media apps (the tailored 
infinite scroll, designed to not be too frustrating but never satisfying 
either), I think there is another value: Signal to ambivalent parents 
that this stuff is dangerous. (And to give cover to parents who *do* 
think this stuff is bad, but don't want to be the pioneering bad guys.)
