Better still would be using an actual diagramming tool (of which 
there are far too many to even begin bothering with a list of 
recommendations) instead of a graphic art tool, and then exporting 
the diagram into whatever image format(s) you desire. This makes 
updating the original diagram an effort of a few seconds or minutes 
instead of potentially needing to redraw parts of it from scratch.
