[Cryptography] My Identity as Satoshi Nakamoto

Hello Satoshi,

There's a lot of stuff here that might prove the claim, but I'm wondering (and maybe this is a gap in my knowledge) why you didn't just sign a message with your keys? It seems easier, and if you have Kleopatra it's not hard to do.

You can then copy it out and put it inline in the email, like this below:
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512

I signed this message for demonstration
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----

iQGzBAEBCgAdFiEEQVJX5X8QPWa98p563lw3m4HaeGQFAmcM/XcACgkQ3lw3m4Ha

-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Now, I'm some nobody from New Hampshire, so people on this list might not have my public key to verify the above signature, but if I were more popular they could get it from a key-server somewhere, or from a previous email I sent, or from erikgranger.name, and though it doesn't prove that I'm Erik Granger, it proves I have that key, which is neat.
I'm not saying the proof you provided is invalid, Mr. Nakamoto, but I am curious why you wouldn't just do it the boring way?
