I also notice that gitlab requires me to sign up for an account to view your code repository. To me this is friction and one more account I don't want or need. The project seems interesting from your description. But I don't want to apply for yet another account just to peek. Friction is the #1 reason things lack attention and adoption. The friction imposed by big-name spyware platforms is more than I care to handle.
