[Cryptography] My Identity as Satoshi Nakamoto

This is idiotic. I waited three weeks, but nobody else explained the
obvious here.  So I'll do it.

Satoshi succeeded.  Satoshi evaded identification and got away clean.
Satoshi is in a position where there is absolutely NO BENEFIT WHATSOEVER
to ever being identified.  We know Satoshi is not an idiot, and that
anyone claiming to be Satoshi clearly is.

Here is why.

The most likely result of people becoming convinced that someone is
Satoshi today, is bad people breaking into that person's house in the
dead of night, pointing guns at "Satoshi" or their family members, and
demanding Satoshi's keys. You should be very glad that you did not and
will not succeed in convincing anyone that you were Satoshi.  If you
have family members you care about, including yourself, your failure
may have saved their lives.

It would be profoundly idiotic for Satoshi to abandon his, her, or their
resounding success in evading identification.  He, she, or they would
never be safe again.  It is even more profoundly idiotic for someone
without Satoshi's keys.

Satoshi's wisest move, years ago, would IMO have been to destroy those
keys - leaving Satoshi himself (or herself, or themselves) unable to
prove it even if he (or she, or they) wanted to.

And Satoshi, I am quite certain, has by now reached the same conclusions
and does not want to.

Nobody will ever prove that they were Satoshi, because Satoshi did not
(and if still alive does not) want it proven.
