[Cryptography] Lattice cryptography

Do any of you know of an introduction to lattice cryptography for 
mathematicians? I understand that one makes a lattice out of vectors (not 
orthogonal or equal-length) and finds the lattice point that's closest to the 
origin, but I don't know how many vectors or dimensions or what the trapdoor 
is.
