If so, then that's a matter of market share. If cryptocurrency became more popular then more criminal activity would be acceptable, per your provided reasoning. Downplaying the criminal activity of the dollar is a matter of perspective. The dollar financed the murder of a million people in Iraq, a hundred thousand in Yemen, and is currently used to promote more killing in the Ukraine and Israel. I don't think it's fair to exclude state-sponsored crime in your analysis.
