LUKS 1 is subject to GPU based password search.

Grub support for LUKS 2 is complicated - there are patches around, but you are probably going to be compiling source code.

Or you could simply use the proprietary disk encryption, which makes life a lot simpler, but is probably NSA backdoored and is likely also subject to GPU based password search.
