that opened my eyes to a whole new world:  "aes" is actually a Latin word meaning brass or copper, though with other secondary meanings, including crude - and "bronze money."

So ... if AES is brass or bronze, where are our silver and gold non-crude ciphers?  And is "bronze money" some kind of hint about cryptocurrency?

Inquiring minds want to know!
