No it is not.
It is good enough for error correction. Quantum error correction is a
whole nother beast, and very few people know what it is.
Just as there is no end of bullshit in cryptography about generating
random numbers unpredictable to an adversary, there is no end of
bullshit in quantum cryptography about quantum error correction.
The bullshit in cryptography on randomness is a result of the fact that
entropy is a deep philosophical problem, and the bullshit in quantum
cryptography on quantum error correction is a result the fact that
unitarity is a deep philosophical problem. (which turns out to be
closely related to entropy)
Put money on the table, give marketers the opportunity to sell solutions
to deep philosophical problems, what are you going to get?
