Maybe because the NSA watches everything that goes into and out of bit.ly.
I have a different question: Shouldn't steganography always be preceded
with an encryption that outputs something indistinguishable from noise?
(That is, no file format that frames the "secure" part.) Don't expect
the steganography to obscure perfectly well, help it out by feeding it
input that looks much like noise!
