A short series of introductory articles on the gentle art of cryptography,
)although it's more towards enciphering than deciphering); it has the most
succinct description of the Vigenère cipher that I've ever seen.
It may be of assistance to anyone new here.
(I found the series when looking up the reference to Trimethius in Kahn's
book.)
