[Cryptography] Crypto Wars

Neal Stephenson's "Cryptonomicon" is fiction but was strongly inspired
by the Crypto Wars.  I recommend it.

"Cracking DES" was a key part of the Crypto Wars (disclaimer: I edited
it).  It's out of print but available online here:
