If I may carp: "best practice" is a horrible term.

For what circumstances? At what cost? Measured how?

If "best practice" is removed from the question, you would have to 
decide on something more useful to put there. If you really want the 
best way you have to specify more, if you want an interesting discussion 
then you don't just want the best way you want bad ways, too, including 
discussions of what makes the bad!
