Not just those scripts. Not every boot is preceded by an orderly 
shutdown. Once the pool is amply supplied, the seed should be written. 
And maybe on a regular basis after that.

-kb, the Kent who starts up his laptop more frequently than he shuts it 
down, because the OS isn't flawless.
