What about evolution of the techniques* demonstrated by Zac Franken
and Adam Laurie for decapsulating and reverse engineering integrated
circuits (including the software they developed to accelerate the
process with image recognition and processing)?  Where do they stand
now, and what sort of work would have to be done to make them feasible
for this use case?
